Season Review

Least Valuable Player: Trent Richardson

Trent Richardson entered the 2013 season as a projected top 10 fantasy football player and ended the year ranked outside the top 30 at his position. After being traded to the Colts in week 4, Trent averaged only 6.5 points per game and failed to meet his projected point total for nine consecutive weeks. He produced 12 games scoring less than 10 points this season, and failed to score over 20 points all year long.  Trent was outscored by over 20 kickers during the season. He is your 2013 LVP.

Honorable Mentions: Ray Rice, David Wilson, Roddy White, Colin Kaepernick, Danny Amendola

2013 Standings

Career Standings

Most Valuable Player (Not Named Peyton Manning): Jamaal Charles

Jamaal Charles scored more fantasy points this season than Ray Rice and Alfred Morris had combined. He averaged 4 more points per game than the second best RB (LeSean McCoy), and scored 100 more total points than the fifth best fantasy RB (Marshawn Lynch). His week 15 performance of 55.5 points was the best single-game output of any fantasy player this season, and ranks in the top 5 all-time performances for a fantasy football player since 2000. In the final four weeks of the season, Charles put up more fantasy points than C.J Spiller had all year. In a season marred by poor RB play, Jamaal consistently produced all year and led Breastonlargements to his first fantasy football championship. He is your 2013 MVP (Not Named Peyton Manning).

Honorable Mentions: Josh Gordon, LeSean McCoy, Drew Brees, Calvin Johnson, Jimmy Graham

Peyton Manning had one of the greatest regular seasons in NFL history for a QB. In terms of fantasy production, he averaged over 26 points per game during the season and finished the year with over 100 more fantasy points than every other QB not named Drew Brees. He produced six 30+ point weeks, including the best single-game output of any QB this season with his week 1 performance of 46.3 points. He is your 2013 MVP.

Most Valuable Player: Peyton Manning

In the final eight games of the season, Josh Gordon averaged nearly 24 points per game, including a 43 points outburst in week 13 and a 37 point performance in week 12. Josh Gordon was only outscored by Jamaal Charles and Peyton Manning during the second half of the season, and finishes the year as the second ranked wide receiver in fantasy football despite missing the first 2 weeks of the regular season.

Honorable Mentions: Nick Foles, DeMarco Murray, Eddie Lacey, Alshon Jeffery

Best Second-Half Performance: Josh Gordon

Prior to the trade, Antonio Brown and Victor Cruz both averaged around 15 points per games. Following the trade, Antonio Brown’s weekly average increased to 17 points while Cruz’s plummeted to just around 7. At the RB position, Kenadall Hunter regressed in the second half, while Andre Brown emerged as legitimate fantasy starter producing nearly 12 points per game. Percy Harvin remains irrelevant.
